Coral
When children and adults have the ability to communicate their wants, feelings, and needs, not only does their quality of life improve, but also the lives of their family members and friends. My name is Coral Imhoff, I graduated from Chico State with my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Minor in Child development. Subsequent to graduating, I received my Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and have since been providing hands-on speech therapy for early intervention, preschool and school-age children. My experience includes working with children who have a variety of speech-language and pragmatic disorders such as receptive/expressive language delays, articulation disorders, stuttering, suspected apraxia and mild to severe cases of autism spectrum disorder. From my experience I have learned that speech therapy is not linear, there will be many ups and downs but with patience and dedication, progression is attainable. I believe that communication is the essence of human life, and that every individual deserves to be heard.
